The YouTube Video Block

There are a a variety of different ways for you to post streaming videos on your HotWax website. You can embed one into an advanced content block, or use an HTML block and copy the embed code from the video’s page on YouTube. However, the YouTube Video Block is the absolute simplest manner in which you can complete the task of posting a video on your page.

The YouTube video block only works with YouTube videos. This might seem simple and obvious enough, but we just wanted to take a moment to reiterate that.

Once you have found a YouTube video that you wish to post on your site you will see a small button beneath the video that says share. Press it to reveal the video’s URL address.

After displaying the URL address, copy the link and select the YouTube Video block from the create new block window.

Finally, just paste the URL address you copied into the box in the create new YouTube Video block window. Click “Add” and you’re done. It’s just that simple. The video will now display on your page.

If you’re looking for more advanced viewing options such as full screen, or raising and lowering resolution, you’ll want to use one of the more advanced options for embedding YouTube videos, such as an HTML Block. The YouTube Video Block is designed to be super simplistic.
